Acres of Diamonds: Our Every-day Opportunities
by Conwell, Russell H.
Lion's Mark Library edition.
How often do we lament the lack of opportunity, the scarcity of chances to improve our circumstances? Russell Conwell’s *Acres of Diamonds* offers a surprising and enduring counterpoint to that lament. It isn’t a treatise on grand ambition or revolutionary change, but a simple, insistent reminder that the seeds of success often lie dormant within our immediate reach, waiting only for us to recognize them. This is a book to pick up when you feel adrift, when you’re searching for direction, or simply when you need a renewed sense of possibility—a reminder that the extraordinary often hides in the ordinary.
About the author: Russell Herman Conwell (1843–1925) was a multifaceted figure of late nineteenth and early twentieth-century America. Primarily known as a lawyer and public speaker, Conwell also served as a minister, educator, and philanthropist. Born in South Wales, he emigrated to the United States as a child and received his early education in Terre Haute, Indiana. He graduated from Harvard University and Harvard Law School, establishing a successful legal practice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was through his lectures, particularly the immensely popular “Acres of Diamonds,” that Conwell achieved widespread fame and financial security.
